Weekends come and go so quickly. Just another Manic Monday (I’ll have that song stuck in my head the rest of the day.)
I’m starting to get a little depressed with all the “summer is almost over” discussion. The magazines are talking about the fall trends, I’m just not ready for all that yet. Feeling the pressure of having to wear all my summer clothes Right Now, before it’s too late!!
I’m being a bit dramatic this morning, but seriously I don’t want summer to end- (Insert Temper Tantrum)
Top- Willi Smith via TJ Maxx
Skirt- LOFT get it here
Belt- Charming Charlie’s
I love the black and white pattern of the top against the bright pop of pink, and I’m a huge fan of the bow buckle detail on the belt. Obsession of the moment: Bows!
Hope you had a great weekend! Happy Monday!
Thanks for stopping,
While searching for a matching shoe in the bottom of my messy closet I stumbled upon a floral blouse I completely forgot I had. Fell off the hanger onto the floor under a heap of shoes.
I had an awakening… I should probably clean out my closet and perhaps I will find other clothes I forgot I had, a whole new wardrobe possibly. I know what you’re thinking, it shouldn’t have taken me finding a shirt on the floor to come to the realization that I need to clean. (Trust me every time I opened the closet door I thought about it, but then I quickly shut the door- out of sight out of mind)
I follow several fashionable ladies on Instagram who are participating in a closet remix challenge. For an entire month, you hand over your credit cards- No shopping allowed! Everything you wear is strictly from what you already own. Sounds simple enough, but let me remind you I have problem, a shopping addiction. I instantly started to get the shakes when they explained you hand over your credit cards. What?! Who does that??
It’s actually a great idea and I plan on doing it for the month of August, who’s with me? Fellow shop-a-holics, this could be our rehab.
Here is that floral blouse I spoke of, I paired it with my pink lace pencil skirt from Target and nude wedges:

Shoes- Chinese Laundry

Hope you’re having a great week!

Happy post 4th of July to everyone! Hope your day was wonderful, it was a nice break in the week. For those of you who have off again today Enjoy (totally jealous)! I’m off to work shortly, but bright side it’s Friday!
Top: The Limited (old)
Shoes: Nine West via Marshall’s
Bag: Anya Hindmarch for Target
(What’s Black & White with Red)……Shoes! I love this skirt, I bought it at Loft a few weeks ago and this is the first opportunity I had to wear it. It’s a fun palm print in black and white and my favorite part of the skirt is the pockets. May sound silly but I love me some pockets.
I attempted a print on print here but the print in the top is so subtle you couldn’t tell. Can’t blame a girl for trying!
Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

I love the laid back vibe of a maxi skirt and simple tank for the warm weather months. Take inspiration from the saturated pinks, purples and orange from Popsicles and Ice Pops that are a must have in my freezer (for the kiddies).
Even if you’re vertically challenged like me, maxi skirts/dresses have a lengthening effect on the body. If you have a problem with the skirts dragging on the floor there are Hi/Low hem options or throw on a pair of wedges!
Lunch/Study Session in the Park earlier this week, perfect setting for a quick photo op. My outfit was inspired by another Coast to Coast Central Challenge ‘Pink Lemonade.’
An unexpected color combination that I would not have tried if not for the Challenge. I loved the pairing and plan on incorporating it more into my wardrobe.
Pink is really a versatile color, my favorite combos:
Pink and Cobalt
Pink and Orange
Pink and Yellow
What unexpected color combos are your favorite?
Top: Ny and Company

Shoes: Mia via Marshall’s
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Hope you had a Great Weekend!
My Micro Economics final is complete (fingers crossed I passed), the work week is done, I am packed and ready for a much needed VACATION!
That’s right folks I’m Beach Bound! For a week of fun in the sun with family. Woo Hoo! Haven’t been posting outfit shots lately, life gets crazy but I’m recharged and ready to Focus!
Earlier this week I participated in The Coast to Coast Central Instagram Challenge. I highly recommend that you check out the blog Coast to Coast Central Packed with great style and beauty information as well as reaches out to women all over who love fashion and features them on their blog.
Their Instagram challenges are a lot of fun and very inspiring from a personal style perspective. Fashion is art and everyone interprets fashion in their own way = Personal Style. The challenge last week was Graphic T and a Blazer.
How would you style a graphic t and blazer? This is how I did it:
Blazer: Lauren Conrad for Kohls (currently on sale)
T shirt: Loft
Shoes and Clutch: Nine West

Huge sales going on at Loft, I finally was able to use my gift cards from Christmas. (Gasp! I know it’s been burning a hole in my pocket) I was saving it for warm weather wear, I’m in love with Loft’s skirt, sundresses and printed shorts.
Good things come to those who wait, major bargains and Loft Cash $25 off $50…. Yeah baby!
Huge trend…. Florals! What girl doesn’t love flowers? Wear them!
